Assistant NPI Manager

Job Responsibilities:

·        Improve the performance and cost of existing products and processes, as well as developing new products and processes

·        Interface with adhesive, coatings, film, paper and silicone R&D teams to develop new products to suit customer requirements and procurement team to identify new technologies to develop labels materials

·        Manage the LGM, new product portfolio and pipeline of projects launch in terms of new product sales for the region

·        Ensure agreed on results, delivery and timelines for the projects

·        Design and execution of experiments, bench-marking, and test method development linked to performance in manufacturing and customer/end-user processes

·        Technology transfer and product Implementation in pilot plant/manufacturing site to scale up new products

·        Ability to collate and summarize results and make conclusive presentations to management & stakeholders. Able to define a way forward to the team, be assertive and take decisions keeping in mind the business and technical needs

·        File for intellectual property protection by interfacing with the legal team

·        Attend trade shows and conferences to keep abreast of industry and technical developments

·        Ensure all the necessary processes concerning code creation / BOM creation etc. is executed as per the project plans

·        Understand customer needs and requirements through regular interactions with business

·        Work across the group and divisional boundaries to generate new ideas

·        Analytical Thinking, Problem Solving approach, and generating robust data on the performance of pressure-sensitive adhesives for multiple applications and industry

Qualifications:

·        Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Chemical, Polymer Engineering, Material Science, Polymer Science or related

·        4-5 years’ experience of Industrial, R&D or product development

·        Good communication and interpersonal skills, effective for working with people with different style and background, business focus with urgency

·        Project management and business engagement skills. Keen interests in understanding and delivering business/customer needs

·        Problem solving, troubleshooting, and leadership to drive projects to execution within timelines

·        Good communication in English
