About the Company
The company is a global leader in fiber laser technology. The primary function of this position is to travel to customer sites for installing and repairing the company’s fiber laser sources and related equipment/components. The responsibilities include training and providing technical support to customers overseas.
Job Responsibilities
- Travel to customer site to install and repair laser products.
- Training and providing technical support to customers.
- Report discrepancies, unresolved or recurrent problems to the headquarters.
- Understand technical documentation, schematics and blueprints, as to utilize them in field support.
- Provide regular feedback to R&D, Engineering and Production departments.
- Accurately identify system problems from the information from the field, consolidate this information and report these problems to the appropriate teams.
- Assist other Field Service Engineers as directed.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
Experience requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical Engineering or any related fields.
- At least 2 - 5 years in similar experiences is advantage.
- Electronics background with good understanding of optics / lasers.
- Have dealt with technical support in electrical and laser products / machinery.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics.
- Ability to strip, cleave and splice optical fibers is an added advantage
- Experience with optical and electrical test methods in support of active fiber devices such as fiber amplifiers and lasers.
- Ability to travel extensively within Thailand.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent electronics / electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently in a professional environment.
