About the Company
Our client, a global leader in intra-logistics and material handling, optimizes supply chains for warehouses, distribution centers, and manufacturing. They specialize in automated storage and picking solutions for the Food & Beverage industry, offering stacker cranes, material handling systems, and software, all developed and installed in-house.
Job Responsibilities
- Engage with suppliers to discuss and verify technical specifications, components, materials, equipment, and services, ensuring alignment with project requirements, budget, and timelines.
- Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to understand and procure necessary products.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify new suppliers and evaluate relevant emerging technologies or innovations.
- Manage the technical procurement process across multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery of materials and components.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and internal stakeholders to define and meet procurement requirements.
- Ensure supplier scope aligns with pre-sale agreements.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, certifications, and standards in technical procurement.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of procurement activities and supplier communications.
- Ensure all procurement processes align with company policies and industry best practices.
- Compare technical specifications and pricing for management review and selection.
Experience requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in technical procurement, with a background in import, export and sourcing technical components, materials, or services.
- Experience in industries such as manufacturing, engineering, or technology is preferred.
- Proven experience in managing supplier relationships.
- Strong understanding of technical specifications, engineering drawings, and product development processes.
- Advanced knowledge of procurement strategies, cost analysis, and supplier evaluation techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage relationships with internal and external cross-functional teams.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities, capable of thinking strategically and making data-driven decisions.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in English and Chinese is preffered.
Education requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related fields.
