About the Company
The Key Account Manager (KAM) will be responsible for managing strategic accounts such as hospital chains, pharmacy chains, institutional buyers, and government bodies. The role involves driving sales, building long-term partnerships, and ensuring high levels of service to key clients to support business growth.
Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage relationships with key institutional clients (hospitals, pharmacy chains, government accounts, etc.)
- Drive sales growth and meet targets within assigned key accounts
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and supply agreements
- Coordinate with internal teams (supply chain, marketing, regulatory) to ensure smooth execution
- Track market trends, competitor activity, and client needs
- Develop account plans and growth strategies for major clients
- Provide timely reports and forecasts to management
Education requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Science, or Business; MBA is a plus
- 5–8 years of experience in pharma sales, with 2+ years in a KAM or institutional sales role
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-management skills
- Good understanding of institutional and tender-based selling
- Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office
