Job Responsibilities
Commercial Part:
• Manage commercial aspects of assigned products or components within the cross-functional customer team
• Negotiate customer contracts and maintain strong customer relationships
• Lead or support global price negotiations, ensuring contract updates reflect customer requirements and volume effects
• Review and confirm purchase orders in line with customer or project-specific standards
• Prepare customer quotation letters and validate pricing under the 4-eye principle
• Oversee sample planning and sample price management with relevant team members
• Manage product life cycle (PLCM), including part number cancellation and handover to Aftermarket
• Conduct business planning activities, including sales volume, pricing, special revenue, and risk planning
Acquisition Part:
• Lead acquisition activities within the cross-functional customer team
• Define acquisition and pricing strategies for specific OEM sourcing projects
• Direct and coordinate the cross-functional acquisition team throughout each project phase
• Execute acquisition-related pre-selling activities in alignment with the customer team
• Utilize acquisition tools such as battle plans, job stoppers, war gaming, and man-mapping to support strategy execution
• Conduct sales price analyses and develop effective pricing strategies
• Review and customize quotation terms and conditions in line with business requirements
• Manage acquisition negotiations and finalize deals within approved financial and commercial parameters (product price, tooling, logistics, samples, etc.)
• Prepare and release customer quotation letters in compliance with Bosch standards
• Ensure proper project handover to Customer Project and Commercial Managers, including documentation and alignment
• Conduct post-acquisition reviews and lessons learned, including win/loss analysis
• Monitor customer trends, market movements, and competitor activities to identify new acquisition opportunities
Experience requirements
• Over 6 years of sales experience in the automotive industry, including at least 4 years in an international company
• Minimum of 3 years of team management experience, supervising 3 or more subordinates
• Experienced in project management with strong understanding of acquisition and project management processes and tools
• Solid knowledge of the automotive industry, including product development processes such as APQP and PPAP, and quality standards like QS9000 and IATF 16949
• Proven global sales experience with strong skills in communication, negotiation, presentation, and marketing
• Customer-oriented mindset with excellent interpersonal skills, professionalism, and a positive attitude
• Familiar with customer mapping and process flow in target accounts
• Able to travel frequently and work effectively under pressure
Education requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree or a Master’s Degree in any related field (Automotive-related fields is preferred)
• English: Internal Conversation Level (TOEIC score is preferred)
• Japanese: Business Conversation Level (JLPT N2 or above)
