Job Responsibilities
• To play a major role in the development of high quality teaching and learning in the Early Years Foundation Stage. This will include the monitoring of curriculum planning and the giving of feedback and advice as well as assisting and supporting colleagues with the planning and delivery of a differentiated curriculum.
• Inherent in the positive are the responsibilities for extracurricular activities, and facility operations.
• Promote high standards in all aspects of school life, particularly in students’ personal and academic progress
• Actively support the vision, mission, culture and policies of the School
• Serve as a role model for students, dressing professionally, demonstrating the importance and relevance of learning, accepting responsibility, and demonstrating pride in the education profession and encourage all teachers to do the same.
• Take responsibility for the leadership, and management of the Early Years
• Assist the school Board in establishing and maintaining a vibrant and thriving school
• Manage the performance of the Early Years teaching staff
• Establish, evaluate and develop the academic aims and standards of the Early Years in partnership with students, team members, specialists, governors and parents
Experience requirements
· A minimum of 5 years’ experience in leading a school at senior level and large financial budgets
· Proficient in English both written and speaking skills
· Knowledge of UK education system
· Understanding of international independent education
· Extensive knowledge and understanding of child development, and of children's needs
· Experience in Play- based learning and/or Project - based learning
Education requirements
· A minimum bachelor’s degree in any subject is compulsory (Education Degree or PGCE- Post Graduate Certificate in Education qualified preferable)
