Job Responsibilities
- Tests the most complex features of new software releases creating associated test cases and plans
- Capable of creating and executing test cases, test runs, test plans and leading a team to completion
- Documents test results, analyze those results and evolves test procedures to be more efficient
- Working with developers and product managers to resolve and debug issues, and prioritize issues for release
- Responsible for training, motivates, coaches team member and new hire
- Coordinates resources needed for the team to succeed
- Defines necessary regression, black box, smoke, and interface testing for current projects
- Identify, isolate, and communicate bugs effectively and efficiently
- Writes bugs/defects in a manner that results in resolution
- Understands software testing and leads team to complete job requirements with little supervision
Experience requirements
- At least 5 years of Software testing / QA experience.
- Proficient with all competencies required as a software tester
- Experience with test case and bug tracking systems
- Experience creating and executing test cases, and logging bugs into tracking systems
- Troubleshoot problems through to resolution, escalating as necessary
- Discovers ways to script and automate aspects of manual testing making daily job more efficient and accurate
- Able to work well independently and in teams
