Farm Manager

Job Responsibilities
- Analyze existing operations, crops, livestock, staff, and financial documents and recommending improvements
- Prepare plans and schedules for planting and harvesting and ensuring staff understand expectations
- Visit the different divisions to inspect crops, livestock, and also perform tests on soil and water
- Ensuring seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and other supplies are regularly restocked
- Schedule repairs, maintenance, and replacement of equipment and machinery
- Handle the marketing and sale of products produced on the farm like fruit, vegetables, dairy, meat, and grain
- Ensure all staff adhere to health and safety regulations
- Assist with the recruitment and training of new staff members
- Prepare budgets and financial reports.
- Build professional networks and keep abreast of developments in agricultural science
Experience requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture or related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the function with 5 years experience in management / supervisor level
- Direct experience in agriculture farming, and strong knowledge in fruit trees
- Good communication skill and good people management skill
