IT & Digital – Top paying jobs for fresh grads, rising high at 40K

The salary information for new graduates is added in this year salary guide.  According to the database, a minimum starting salary of new graduates across all sector is at THB 15,000 regularly.  While the highest paying career for new graduates is in the IT field, especially in database related jobs, such as, Data Scientist, Data Engineer, Data Migration and Data Warehouse Consultant, which could earn around THB 35,000 to THB 40,000 maximum per month. Jobs in IT & Digital are considered to be the most desirable jobs as they provide a good chance for talented fresh graduates with specialized expertise and proven track record to earn a high income.

There are also careers that offer attractive salary to fresh graduates, with the maximum of THB 35,000.  Those careers are in:

  • Engineering field - Design Engineer, Facility Engineer, Injection Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Material Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Pipeline Engineer, Production Engineer, Project Engineer, QA / QC Engineer Safety Engineer and Draftsman
  • IT & Digital field - Programmers (specialized language), Full Stack Developer, Front End Developer and SEO/SEM Specialist
  • Japanese-speaking field - Interpreter, Administrative Assistant and Secretary
  • Sales and Business Development field - Sales Executives

In addition, the result from database analysis also found that language proficiency of both English and third language is another key factor that leads to higher pay as companies that can afford higher rate are mainly the foreign companies.


Sales professional ranks “The Most In-Demand” career

Overview information, collected from more than 3,000 leading companies in Thailand who are Adecco Thailand clients, reveals that the most in-demand careers remain pretty much the same as the previous year and they are all-time top 5 careers that are integral for any business.

Jobs in Sales and Business Development field continue to be the most in-demand jobs among employers. And, not only the Sales personnel but also other sales related jobs, such as Product Advisor (PA), Customer Service Representative and Customer Relations Officer, are also the hot careers. The second most in-demand jobs are jobs in Engineering field, especially Sales Engineer, Service Engineer and Project Engineer.  Ranking third are jobs in IT & Digital field, with the high demand of Programmer, Data Scientist and IT Application Support. Fourth and fifth spots are jobs in Accounting and Administrative roles which are also the must-have positions in a company.
