Role summary
In this role, you'll collaborate closely with the Director to curate innovative contemporary art exhibitions, design accompanying educational programs, and conduct thorough research on artists and artworks. The company offers an exciting chance to grow with a team, contributing to enriching people's lives through the appreciation and education of art.

Job Responsibilities
- Assist the Director in conceptualizing exhibitions, programs, and publications that align with the museum's vision and collection, enriching the audience experience.
- Collaborate with the team to execute exhibitions, programs, and publications effectively.
- Coordinate with external curators to organize exhibitions, ensuring they align with the museum's direction and collection essence.
- Develop interpretation strategies for exhibition spaces and learning programs, ensuring accessibility.
- Engage audiences through lectures, tours, and communication about the collection and exhibitions.
- Prepare press releases and promotional materials in collaboration with PR & Communication.
- Produce social media content related to the collection and exhibitions in coordination with PR & Communication.
- Respond to inquiries from the public and media regarding the collection and exhibitions.
- Conduct research on artists, artworks, and art market trends to support collection development.
- Identify artworks for potential acquisition for the collection.
- Assist in formulating educational programs and strategies with the Director and Education team.
- Write and edit essays and publications related to exhibitions and collection.
- Travel for research and donor cultivation when necessary.
- Participate in public programs and donor engagements outside normal office hours as required.
- Undertake additional assigned duties as necessary.
Experience requirements
- At least three years of experience in curatorial roles.
- Demonstrated track record of publications in reputable journals or online platforms.
- Strong proficiency in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively engage diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of contemporary art museum acquisition standards and best practices.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities to adhere to deadlines.
- Possesses a resourceful and optimistic attitude, with the patience to tackle obstacles.
- Cross-cultural competency to effectively collaborate with a diverse range of art professionals.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and skilled in database management.
- Familiarity with art handling and installation techniques
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and shifting priorities.
Education requirements
A Doctorate in Modern and Contemporary Art History or a Master's degree in Curatorial Studies with a focus on Asia.
