Geospatial Data Scientist

• Utilize satellite data to address real-world issues like deforestation identification and urbanization mapping
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate new data sources
• Design and develop analytical models
• Analyze and interpret data for various audiences

• Proficient in Python programming
• Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS), satellite data analysis, or remote sensing techniques
• Familiarity with distributed data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark) and cloud computing (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud)
• Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and data structures
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical information to non-technical audiences
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Geography, Geomatics, or a related field
• Experience in natural resource management, forestry, urban planning, or related fields is a plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
