Job Responsibilities
· Offer timely and precise legal counsel to executives across various domains such as labor law, partnerships, international ventures, and corporate finance.
· Collaborate with management to formulate efficient defense strategies.
· Establish internal governance policies and ensure consistent compliance monitoring.
· Research and assess risk factors associated with business decisions and operations.
· Implement effective risk management techniques and proactively advise on potential legal issues.
· Engage in communication and negotiation with external entities, fostering trustworthy relationships.
· Draft, review, and finalize agreements, contracts, and legal documents to safeguard the company's legal interests.
· Coordinate with Regional Legal and management to ensure the final draft of documents is approved and legally executed.
· Provide clarification on legal matters to stakeholders throughout the organization, particularly in complex situations.
· Stay updated on legislative changes and maintain a comprehensive filing system for legal documents.
· Oversee the renewal and extension of business permits and licenses to ensure legal compliance.
· Offer ongoing legal guidance and support to the Thailand Board of Investment.
· Represent the company in legal disputes, collaborating with local legal counsel and the Regional Legal team to protect the company's interests.
Experience requirements
· 3 years-experience of legal affairs and min. 2 years of experience working with a Thai publicly-listed company.
· Proven track record as a Legal Counsel within a business setting.
· Exceptional grasp of Corporate law and procedural intricacies.
· Comprehensive understanding of external factors impacting corporate operations.
· Demonstrated proficiency in devising both defensive and proactive legal strategies.
· Expertise in a broad spectrum of legal domains including business organization law, SET/SEC law, good governance, customs law, product liability law, labor law, taxation, BOI law, contract law, factories law, etc.
· Self-motivated, independent, and resourceful, essential for this individual contributor role.
