Our Client is one of Thailand’s leading distributes a wide range of fuels and suppliers of aviation fuel.
Job Responsibilities
• Supervise and execute Compliance and Data Privacy initiatives to ensure adherence to relevant laws, policies, and procedures, while offering pertinent guidance.
• Ensure organizational compliance with diverse laws, including those of Thailand and the US.
• Establish, advocate, execute, and regularly update corporate compliance programs in alignment with legal standards.
• Develop, enforce, monitor, revise, and enhance policies, procedures, manuals, guidelines, and tools pertaining to Compliance and Data Privacy.
• Evaluate risks and establish risk management protocols compliant with applicable laws and regulations.
• Administer, oversee, and monitor Compliance-related systems and processes, encompassing third-party due diligence and sensitive transaction pre-approvals.
• Provide concise reports on adherence to Anti-Corruption and Business Conduct Policies.
• Address and resolve Compliance and Data Privacy issues as they arise.
• Keep abreast of legislative updates to ensure ongoing compliance; stay informed about operational initiatives, compliance/regulatory issues, and industry changes.
• Serve as the designated data privacy officer with duties including:
- Fulfilling Data Protection Officer responsibilities as per the PDPA.
- Ensuring compliance with data privacy laws, conducting assessments, identifying risks, and proposing solutions.
- Maintaining Record of Processing Activities (ROPA).
- Offering guidance on data privacy, reviewing contract terms, and auditing operations related to personal data.
- Acting as the main contact point for stakeholders and regulatory bodies on data privacy matters, handling data subject inquiries.
- Providing counsel on personal data incidents and preparing relevant reports.
- Staying informed about developments in data protection laws. • Foster a compliance-oriented culture; develop and deploy awareness campaigns and training on Compliance and Data Privacy, including e-learning design and delivery of materials.
Experience requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law, Accounting, Finance, or related fields
- At least 7 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in compliance, with a focus on data privacy; prior experience as a Data Protection Officer (DPO) is advantageous
- Familiarity with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) is advantageous
- Proficient communication skills (speaking, writing, listening, and reading) in both Thai and English
- Demonstrated commitment to achieving results; highly organized with meticulous attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal abilities, capable of working autonomously or collaboratively within a team setting
- Able to occasionally travel to Rayong office
