About the Company

Our client is a thriving company specializing in hire-purchase services. We are currently in search of skilled professionals to join our team for the specified position.

Job Responsibilities

·      Task Management: Assign tasks and follow up with the Legal & Compliance team, focusing on skill development through OJT and seminars.

·      Compliance Enhancement: Develop and implement compliance programs, monitor progress, and ensure company-wide adherence.

·      Regulatory Change Management: Lead the team in managing regulatory changes, perform gap analysis, propose business adjustments, and report progress and risks.

·      Legal Assurance: Establish and update internal policies to align with laws and ensure compliance.

·      Risk Management: Oversee legal and compliance risks, coordinate with divisions on incidents, provide legal solutions, and report regularly to management.

·      Monitoring: Implement monitoring schemes to prevent non-compliance, corruption, and fraud, and report findings to management.

·      Training: Plan and execute compliance training programs, manage progress, and support business through legal consultations.

·      Committee Participation: Arrange and report in Compliance Committee meetings, participate in other meetings to provide legal opinions.

·      Regulatory Representation: Act as a liaison with regulatory authorities, legal sub-committees, external law firms, and courts to maintain compliance.

·      Additional Tasks: Handle assignments from Division Head and Management, including ad hoc tasks.

Experience requirements

·      Extensive knowledge of relevant laws and regulations (esp. in Hire-purchase industry is advantage)

·      In-depth understanding of compliance and code of conduct.

·      Familiarity with the company's business operations and internal rules.

·      Proficient in reviewing and drafting legal documents, policies, and procedures.

·      Strong communication skills with external legal experts.

·      Capable of providing legal opinions based on legal requirements.

·      Skilled in creating compliance guidelines.

·      Effective in promoting and embedding a compliance mindset.

·      Ability to offer optimal business solutions and proposals.

·      Adept at suggesting operational adjustments.
