Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive admissions strategy that supports the university’s enrollment goals and academic vision.
  • Lead and mentor the admissions team, ensuring performance excellence, professional growth, and alignment with university objectives.
  • Oversee all stages of the admissions process, ensuring a streamlined, user-friendly experience for applicants from inquiry to enrollment.
  • Analyze market trends and student data to refine recruitment tactics, optimize outreach efforts, and enhance enrollment outcomes.
  • Collaborate with academic departments, marketing, and other stakeholders to integrate admissions strategies with university programs and initiatives.
  • Represent the university at external recruitment events, including high school fairs, college expos, and community outreach programs.
  • Ensure compliance with university admissions standards as well as relevant national, state, and international regulations.
  • Manage the admissions office budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Establish and maintain strong partnerships with high schools, community colleges, and other key feeder institutions.
  • Monitor admissions metrics—such as application volume, acceptance rates, and yield—to report regularly to senior leadership.
  • Lead the adoption and implementation of new technologies to streamline admissions operations and improve efficiency.
  • Oversee the development of admissions marketing materials and digital content to effectively engage prospective students and their families.
  • Promote diversity and inclusion in student recruitment by expanding outreach to underrepresented populations
Experience requirements
  • At least 7-10 years of experience in university admissions or a related area, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven ability to design and implement effective student recruitment strategies.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of audiences.
  • Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Familiarity with admissions software and customer relationship management (CRM) platforms.
  • Commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in the admissions process.
  • Willingness to travel for recruitment events, both domestically and internationally.



Education requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
