About the Company
Our client is a leader in the energy sector, specializing in the production and distribution of electricity from natural gas and renewable sources. They also engage in the supply and distribution of natural gas, investments in infrastructure, and digital business solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- Draft, review, revise, and negotiate legal contracts, agreements, and other documentation, ensuring alignment with the organization’s legal and commercial interests.
- Lead and manage the contracting process, coordinating with internal teams (BD, PD, Finance), government authorities, and external parties (legal counsel, regulators, clients, vendors) involved in the company’s business activities.
- Oversee corporate documentation, including company policies, regulations, powers of attorney, critical agreements, permits, and licenses.
- Prepare task management reports for supervisors and the management team, offering recommendations on managing legal matters.
- Provide legal advice to ensure the company’s business operations comply with relevant laws and regulations.
- Conduct legal research as needed and keep the team updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting projects and tasks.
- Collaborate with internal departments to offer legal solutions and support on assigned projects.
Experience requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Law with a strong background in contract, commercial, and general business laws and regulations.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience, including legal research, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating across various legal fields, preferably from a reputable international law firm or the energy sector.
- Knowledgeable in business transactions from both legal and commercial perspectives, including M&A, joint ventures, project finance, and shareholder arrangements, with experience in power generation, renewable energy, infrastructure, or private-public projects being a plus.
- Holds a lawyer license and/or is qualified as a Thai barrister-at-law, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Fluent in English (TOEIC 750), with excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal abilities.
- Able to travel and work domestically and internationally, demonstrating goal-oriented, adaptable, and team-focused qualities.
- Strong management skills, capable of leading and collaborating effectively within diverse teams and projects.
