Job Responsibilities
Job Summary:
Responsible for managing and enhancing the Quality Management System (QMS) across multiple warehouse facilities in the APAC region. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and customer expectations while driving standardized processes and continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to maintain high standards in inventory management, order fulfillment, safety, and overall customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and oversee the regional QMS for warehousing and logistics operations to meet quality standards and certifications.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, OSHA), and customer-specific quality needs.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of warehouse operations, ensuring adherence to processes and prompt closure of identified gaps.
- Manage certification audits and prepare quality-related documentation for external reviews and customer submissions.
- Act as the main contact for quality-related issues, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, including customer service, procurement, and logistics teams.
- Address and resolve customer feedback and complaints, implementing corrective actions in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with warehouse operations, supply chain, and IT teams to identify and implement best practices for quality improvement.
- Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to optimize operations.
- Analyze data trends, identify areas for improvement, and develop solutions to enhance quality performance.
- Track and report key quality metrics, such as inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rates, and safety incidents, to senior management.
- Oversee adherence to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment and compliance with local laws and standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and address quality or safety-related risks proactively.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, certification bodies, regulatory agencies, and third-party suppliers or vendors to ensure quality standards are met.
- Evaluate supplier and vendor quality through audits and provide feedback to enhance overall performance.
- Support contract negotiations with clients by addressing quality standards and KPI-related topics.
Experience requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management, with a focus on quality assurance and process optimization.
- At least 3 years of managerial experience in a warehousing or logistics environment.
- Strong knowledge of QMS, compliance management, and auditing processes.
- Proficiency in quality improvement methodologies, such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.
- Hold certifications in quality management, such as Six Sigma Black Belt or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, are a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across teams and manage external relationships.
- Experience in developing and implementing training programs to promote quality-focused practices.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management tools.
- Fluency in English.
