Job Responsibilities
• Responsible for the daily accounting functions including general ledgers, cash management, inventory accounting etc.
• To manage financial activities in compliance with statutory reporting and corporate reporting standards. Emphasis on timely reporting and accountability.
• Hand on in month end closing including preparation of journal entries, income statement and balance sheets. Business results analysis and reporting.
• To enforce and monitor internal control systems to ensure all complies with corporate financial policies and procedures are followed and implemented.
• Involve in the business discussion for the preparation of Long Range Plan, Annual Plan, Quarterly reviews and Monthly forecast.
• Review financial viability of capital spending and expansion projects. Cost and benefit analysis.
• Develop and implement processes and costing models for the business.
• Work with consultants, HLP operation team and sister company finance team on new ERP system implementation project.
• To develop subordinates to enhance their accounting skills and knowledge.
Experience requirements
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in accounting or related professional qualification and with CPD license.
• Minimum 5 years of management in a manufacturing environment in general accounting, Costing, Finance, Tax
regulations, BOI accounting.
• Highly analytical and possess the ability to interpret, draw conclusions and pick up issues from the financial records.
• Proactive and a team player, adaptable, meticulous, strong problems solving skill, resourceful, independent, attentive
to details and able to handle tight deadlines.
• Involve in operational finance to utilize company tools box for improving business and manufacturing operations
• Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills. Good command in English both written and spoken.
• Possess strong knowledge in accounting principles, Local GAAP, IFRS, NPAEs and costing methodology
• Sufficient knowledge of local tax legislation for compliance with tax returns filing and VAT handling.
• Excellent computer skills in Excel, Word and Power Point.
• Preferably with experience in handling ERP systems such as Sage X3, SAP, JD Edwards, etc.
• Working knowledge in Custom process and BOI process is desirable.
