Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for overseeing supplier relations and transportation details for a company.
- Develop sound, cost-effective strategies for the purchasing of materials used in the business
- Maintain relationships with suppliers while continually scouting for additional vendors
- Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
- Evaluate spending operations while seeking ways to improve and enhance the quality of products purchased and the timeliness of deliveries
- Communicate with management regularly regarding the efficient flow of goods and services affecting production
- Conduct cost analyses and setting benchmarks for improvement
- Develop risk management procedures to mitigate losses in the event of product shortages
- Supervise a purchasing team and delegating tasks across departments when necessary
Experience requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing or BA
- Proven 10 years of working experiences as a Procurement Manager, Senior Procurement, or Procurement Supervisor
- Fluent in both written and spoken Chinese and English
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market
- Talent in negotiations and networking
- Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
- Experience in collecting and analyzing data
- Strong leadership capabilities
- Proficiency in SAP program
