February 13, 2025 Press Releases

Adecco Thailand has released its 2025 Salary Guide, revealing salary trends across more than 900 job positions in various industries. The guide offers key insights into Thailand’s job market amidst technological and economic shifts. Additionally, the latest Career & Work Trends survey, conducted with over 1,300 employees, highlights the growing role of AI in the workplace and the increasing demand for work-life balance as a key factor in job selection.

Thailand’s Job Market in 2024: Challenges and New Opportunities

According to Adecco, Thailand's labor market in 2024 faces volatility due to emerging technologies like Generative AI, economic structural changes, and regional and global economic policies. The semiconductor industry continues to grow but faces a shortage of skilled workers, while the automotive sector is slowing down due to the transition to electric vehicles and higher production efficiency.

2024-2025 salary rate overview
Despite these challenges,
salary levels remain relatively stable, with tech roles leading the way. At the Junior Level (0-3 years of experience), Full Stack Developers command salaries of up to THB 100,000 per month. Meanwhile, top executive positions such as CEO and COO saw significant salary increases, reaching up to THB 800,000 per month—a sharp rise from last year’s THB 600,000, emphasizing the critical role of senior leaders in navigating economic and technological uncertainties. Beyond technical skills, soft skills such as a positive mindset, creativity, continuous learning, and teamwork are now essential for career advancement at all levels.

Key Findings from the 2025 Salary Guide and Career & Work Trend Survey

Adecco surveyed over 1,300 professionals across major industries such as IT, manufacturing, and retail. The findings highlight key workforce trends shaping Thailand’s job market:

1.
Work-Life Balance as a Key Factor in Job Selection

An overwhelming 93% of professionals are open to new job opportunities, with 40% actively seeking a career move. Compensation remains a top priority, but work-life balance has surged in importance, rising from 58% in 2023 to 67% in 2024. This trend underscores the need for employers to prioritize flexible work policies to attract and retain top talent.

2.
AI Integration in the Workplace

AI adoption continues to accelerate, with 83% of respondents using AI in their daily tasks. Senior executives are the most frequent users, leveraging AI for strategic planning and decision-making. AI is also becoming a crucial tool in recruitment, yet only one in three organizations provides consistent AI training—highlighting a major opportunity for workforce development.

3. The Rise of Digitization and Flexible Work Models

Digital transformation and flexible work arrangements are shaping the future of work, with 74% of respondents identifying these trends as highly impactful, particularly in IT, consulting, and engineering sectors. The increasing use of Generative AI and automation is further reinforcing this shift.

4.
Diversity and Inclusion Starts with Hiring Practices

Organizations that implement flexible work models and clearly communicate their commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) are more likely to create a genuinely inclusive workplace. Transparent hiring policies that embrace diversity in gender, age, and physical ability remain an area for improvement but are essential for fostering true workplace inclusivity.

5. Essential Skills for Career Advancement

The most in-demand skills for professionals looking to stay competitive include data analytics, leadership, and technical proficiency in machinery operations. Notably, 49% of respondents believe AI-related skills will boost their job prospects, promotion chances, and salary growth.

Looking Ahead to 2025: The Role of AI, Flexibility, and DEI

Marie Antoinette Anciro, Country Director of Adecco Thailand

Marie Antoinette Anciro, Country Director of Adecco Thailand, shares insights into the future of work that, “The past year has seen Thailand’s job market gradually recover, but organizations must adapt quickly to stay competitive. Success will depend on three key factors:

1.AI adoption and upskilling,
2. Flexible work models, and
3. Building inclusive workplace cultures."

AI is no longer just a
support tool—it is a core driver of business strategy and talent attraction. Companies must equip employees with AI skills while ensuring safe, ethical and creative AI integration. Digital literacy, including AI usage, data analysis, and digital platform navigation, is now essential for all employees. AI will shape the future of work, but its true value lies in how it complements human creativity and emotional intelligence," said Anciro.

"Organizations must integrate AI while nurturing innovation and productivity to drive long-term business success.
Additionally, with Gen Z entering the workforce, companies must reassess benefits and policies to meet their evolving expectations. Work-life balance is no longer just about reducing work hours—it’s about creating a system that supports employees’ holistic well-being. This includes flexible work schedules, result-oriented work environment (ROWE), performance-based evaluation, career development, and alignment with employees’ values and lifestyles. Moreover, younger generations are increasingly drawn to organizations that prioritize diversity and actively promote inclusive policies. Therefore, it is essential for companies to implement policies that foster an inclusive work environment and organizational culture. This approach will not only attract high-potential talent but also drive sustainable growth.”

"For job seekers”, Marie added, “
understanding and utilizing AI and digital tools has become essential to staying competitive in today’s job market. These skills not only enhance career prospects but also open up opportunities for advancement. For recent graduates entering the workforce, embracing new experiences and learning from hands-on opportunities is crucial. Gaining both job-related expertise and essential soft skills—such as teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity—will significantly improve their chances of being considered for roles. Moreover, this process helps individuals discover their strengths, preferences, and career paths that best align with their aspirations."

“Adecco Thailand remains committed to supporting organizations in talent development and innovation, helping businesses attract and retain top talent, and ensuring job seekers have access to diverse opportunities. Through collaboration with key stakeholders, Adecco aims to strengthen Thailand’s labor market and foster sustainable growth in the years ahead,” Marie concluded.
