Job Responsibilities
• Monitor supplier quality performance and cost recovery across the Asia region, and report findings
• Oversee results of new supplier audits and manufacturing process audits, and maintain a qualified supplier list in the Asia region, with reporting
• Evaluate the effectiveness of supplier quality management processes in the Asia region and provide reports
• Review quality complaints from suppliers, initiate corrective actions, and ensure resolution meets company objectives
• Conduct training sessions for suppliers to improve quality in the Asia region, including creating training materials
• Promote and implement horizontal deployment activities to enhance supplier quality and prevent recurrence of issues
• Communicate with all AS SQM members to deploy AS SQM policies and requirements, ensuring clear understanding and avoiding misunderstandings
• Support each site in AS with supplier quality development and provide coordination and assistance as needed
• Deploy HQ SQM policies and requirements to all sites in the AS region, gather information, and report back to HQ SQM
• Develop the skills and knowledge of AS SQM members through training and create quality training materials
• Support the AS QA head/SQM head with assigned tasks
• Support sites with audits of problematic suppliers and new suppliers
Experience requirements
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• Over 13 years of experience in the automobile, auto ancillary, auto components, or related industries is preferred
• Experience in managing testing departments or functions, and overseeing large and complex activities and processes
• Experience in international business and working with foreign colleagues
• Strong command of English, including writing, reading, and communication skills
Skills and Knowledge:
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems
• Strong technical skills in both functional and non-functional areas, including manual and automated testing, ideally within a continuous delivery environment
• Excellent communication skills with key stakeholders to ensure the Quality vision is clearly understood and effectively implemented
• Strong abilities in communication, influence, and negotiation
• Familiarity with core quality tools such as PFMEA, PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC, problem-solving, and root cause analysis, as well as the 7 QC tools
• Skills in system, production process, and product auditing
Education requirements
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• Over 13 years of experience in the automobile, auto ancillary, auto components, or related industries is preferred
• Strong technical skills in both functional and non-functional areas, including manual and automated testing, ideally within a continuous delivery environment
