Purchasing and Japanese Interpreter

Job Position: Purchasing and Japanese Interpreter - Air conditioners

Work location: Bangkok

Our client is a leading manufacturer of air conditioners. This company is a well-known air conditioner and related parts trading company. The company has exhibited for nearly 30 years in Thailand, with motivation and a high market share in global air conditioner markets.

• Cooperate with suppliers for quotation, price negotiation, agreement, cost & quality control, etc.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers

• Monitor and report the progress of activities (cost down, value added, value engineer, etc.)

• Coordinate between sales team and suppliers concerning cost, quality and other communication

• Support the interpretation of communications between Japanese and local members of internal and external parties

• Other tasks as assigned

• 3-5 years of experience as an interpreter or purchasing officer

• Internship or work experience in Japan is an advantage

• Experience in a factory or manufacturing company is preferred

• Company car provided; no driving required

• Proficient in Excel (Spreadsheet, Pivot, VLOOKUP)

• SAP experience is a plus

• Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and coordination skills

• Good interpersonal skills with a service-minded attitude

• Bachelor’s Degree or a Master’s Degree in any fields

• English Internal Conversation Level (TOEIC score is preferred)

• Japanese Internal Conversation Level (JLPT N2 or above)
