L’Oréal Thailand and Adecco Group Thailand launch Thailand and ASEAN’s first project ‘Bringing Hope to Moms’
Giving opportunities to underprivileged Thai moms, for a more beautiful future

 

Bangkok. September 3, 2015 – L’Oréal Thailand joined hands with Adecco Group Thailand to announce the press conference and MOU signing of the ‘Bringing Hope to Moms’ -a solidarity sourcing project for underprivileged moms in Thailand. The project, a first for Thailand and the ASEAN region, is aimed at assisting 100 young, single mothers and those who have experienced severe domestic violence, aged between 18-30 years old, earning less than THB 10,000 per month and are experiencing financial difficulties raising their children. L’Oréal will give these women the opportunity to work with their world-class beauty company in order to build their careers and gain hope.

‘Bringing Hope to Moms,’ is a project developed under the L’Oréal initiated sustainability commitment of ‘Sharing Beauty With All,’ in order to help create a beautiful and equal society. L’Oréal has worked successfully with its business partners to provide career opportunities to disadvantaged groups in society to have a chance to work with the organization, also known as the Solidarity Sourcing Program. As for the‘Bringing Hope to Moms’ this is a great opportunity for L’Oréal to work with Adecco, which has been L’Oréal’s human resourcing business partner since 2011. Adecco also foresees the importance and the possibilities of the project as, according to Bureau of Policy and Strategy, Ministry of Public Health, currently in Thailand there is over 129,000 mothers under 20 years old. As a result, Adecco has decided to dedicate their best efforts with L’Oréal to create this social project, in order to help expand the opportunities of young, single mothers and victims of domestic violence to be able to build up concrete skills and stable careers, as well as make a better life for their families.

The opening positions include beauty advisor (BA), warehouse staff, receptionist/operator, and administrative support officers. Applicants interested in joining Bringing Hope to Moms should have qualifications as stated in the following:

  1. Young mothers aged between 18 - 20 years old or single mothers and those who have experienced severe domestic violence, aged between 18 – 30 years old.
  2. Responsibility as the main income source for the family and currently earns less than 10,000 baht per month.
  3. Secondary school graduate level as a minimum education.
  4. Interested in the beauty industry and services careers.

The selected 100 finalists will attend a seminar for fundamental preparations before working with Adecco and receive beauty industry career developing skills and training with L’Oréal. The participants will begin employment with L’Oréal from 1 December 2015 onward.
