Business Development Manager

"During the time when I was about to get married, there was a moment when my boss spoke to me and said that she wanted me to have the personal life and work life that I wanted. This sentence made me brave enough to decide that if one day I had to be a working parent, at least I would have a boss who understood me."
This is the story of Khun Sawit PROMMEE, a senior employee who has been working with Adecco for 16 years. He is a Business Development Manager at the Phaholyothin Branch, leading a sales team for staffing & outsourcing services, and managing key clients. He is also a working dad with an adorable young daughter. This has posed challenges in finding the balance between his professional and personal life.

"Every day, I am the one who drives my daughter to school early in the morning and then comes to work at 9 o'clock. My wife will pick her up in the evening, but if she's busy, I will pick the girl up myself and then go back to work. The evenings are reserved for family time, and I continue working after my kid goes to bed. Some people may think that I work hard when I speak like this, but truthfully, it is a deliberate choice to allocate my time this way."

"Flexible working hours are part of the company culture that helps me balance work and personal life. The management team chooses to focus on the quality of the work instead of clocking in and out. Working with clients also makes me familiar with a work-life blended lifestyle. This makes me feel that being a working parent is not as difficult as it seems."

"Flexible working hours are ingrained in our company culture, allowing me to find the perfect balance between work and personal life. Here, the management team prioritizes the quality of work over strict clock-in and clock-out times. Collaborating with clients has also exposed me to a work-life blended lifestyle. All of these experiences make me realize that being a working parent isn't as daunting as it may appear."

“My colleague is another thing that I feel grateful for. I am also grateful for my amazing colleagues. Both my boss and my subordinate are aware of my situation and condition. For example, when my kid gets sick unexpectedly, and I need to take urgent leave to take her to visit the doctor, they understand without hesitation. Everyone cares about my child as if she were their own niece. This environment is like a family, where everyone genuinely looks out for each other's happiness and well-being.

“In the office, there are many working parents like me, and I truly believe everyone feels the same way that the culture here is a great fit for us. The company often emphasizes that when employees have a good quality of life, they tend to do their best work. I've experienced it firsthand, and it's absolutely true.”

New - Ratchanu Srijintai
Client Service Manager

"I absolutely adore the reminiscent feeling of my high school days whenever I step foot into Adecco. It's like reliving those cherished moments all over again," expressed “New”, Ratchanu Srijintai, our Client Service Manager, who has been working with Adecco for over 9 years. She emphasized the significance of a supportive 'workplace community' and genuine 'friendships' in enhancing employees' performance.

"The carefree and enjoyable atmosphere of the school is something many of us hold dear. Working here at Adecco reminds me of that feeling. Every day, I want to come to the office to meet my colleagues, who have now turned into friends for life.

"I never had any issues or problems related to gender, age, or any other differences. It's as if everyone I work with doesn’t have such barriers in the first place. I can be my authentic self without any judgment or discrimination.

"When we have peace of mind, we can just focus on our work and how to best deliver it. And then we consistently receive feedback from our team or from clients, which helps us grow and propels us toward achieving our goals."

At Adecco, we value talent over labels. We encourage everyone to be their authentic selves. This not only cultivates a positive work environment and nurtures creativity, but also fosters a genuine ‘passion’ for the work we do.

Thip - Varathip Teeranutranont
Business Development Lead – Human Capital Solutions

"About two years back, my dad got seriously ill due to heart problems and needed several surgeries. During that time, I had to take days off almost every week and felt bad about it. I ended up using most of my vacation days for this.

.

What really means a lot to me is the understanding I've found here. Nobody on my team made me feel judged or criticized for taking frequent leaves, especially my line manager who truly gets where I'm coming from. She told me, 'Life throws things at us that we can't always control.' Maybe it's because we're in similar boats, taking care of both our parents and kids. Every time I had to be at the hospital, shortly after, I'd get a chat asking, 'How's your dad doing?' It might seem like a small thing, but it brings me so much comfort. It's reassuring to know that while I might be physically drained, my mental state is taken care of.”

.

This story is from Khun Thip Varathip Teeranutranont, our Business Development Lead, who finds herself in the Sandwich Generation phase. This is the stage of life where one juggles the roles of working professional, caregiver for parents, and parent to their own children. It's a time often filled with stress, demanding the support of a flexible and accommodating organization.

"For me, being able to work at a coffee shop is a small joy that happens every day."

“My journey with Adecco began in late 2019, just before the pandemic shook Thailand. Little did I know that this challenging time would lead to a remarkable transformation in how we work! Our office swiftly transitioned to a hybrid working model, allowing me to seamlessly blend office and remote work throughout the week.”

“Adapting to this new way of working was a new experience, not just for me but for everyone around. Back then, I secretly hoped that even after COVID faded away, we'd hold on to this work style. It just got the perfect balance of flexibility – I could connect with my colleagues at the office without feeling tied down, yet I cherished those cozy work-from-home days. As time passed, this hybrid approach became the norm, and the best part? It's no longer limited to my home; I can actually work from anywhere I want.”

“Feeling refreshed from changing the work environment has truly helped boost my productivity and energy levels. Each day, I'm able to complete my tasks while filling my personal life with happiness. This journey has been truly enjoyable for me.”

"The flexibility in working hours is just perfect for my role, as there are times when I might have to meet clients or candidates beyond the usual work hours. You know, on those days when I already foresee a late night, I can simply choose to come in a bit later and work from the comfort of my home. It's like having the freedom to go with the flow and not fret about being stuck in traffic on my way back. Being able to plan my own work schedule, deciding where and when to work, is something I absolutely love about this job."

Here’s the story of happiness of Khun Toey Pattarawadee Vongcharoen, Principal Consultant who focuses on businesses in Insurance, Logistic, Construction, Marketing agency, Manufacturing, Trading and IT Solution. She has also received the prestigious Top Consultant A+ Elite 2023 award from Quarter 1/2023.

At Adecco, we prioritize outcome and achievement, over time or location spent on doing the job. We continue to embrace a hybrid working policy, providing opportunities for employees to set their office attendance and work from home schedules according to the nature of their tasks and agreements within each team. This accommodates the modern working style that emphasizes freedom in the way we work.
