Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee and lead Ocean Freight Forwarding Business Group, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic direction.
  • Plan and monitor business and operational performance, manage customer relationships, and develop team members to drive business growth.
  • Formulate and implement mid-term strategies and business plans to achieve growth and profitability.
  • Manage team operations, provide operational solutions, and ensure processes meet business and customer requirements.
  • Monitor and review team performance, making necessary adjustments to align with strategic objectives.
  • Align processes, resource planning, and team goals with the overall strategy of the Business Group.
  • Ensure effective coordination and information flow within and across teams.
  • Secure competitive Ocean Freight rates and reliable shipping line services in line with procurement strategy.
  • Offer a range of Ocean Freight Forwarding solutions for customer supply chains, including Import & Export FCL, Import & Export LCL Own Consolidation Service, and NVOCC Service.
Experience requirements
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in the logistics industry, with at least 10 years in a management role.
  • At least 1-3 years of direct experience as the Head of an ocean freight forwarding business.
  • Extensive knowledge of Ocean Freight Forwarding (FCL, LCL, NVOCC), International Trade Legislation Compliance, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Cargo Services/Operations Pricing, Cross Border logistics, Business Process Improvement, and Vendor Management.
  • Strong business acumen, data analysis, and project management skills.
  • Excellent leadership, people management, problem-solving, analytical, and systematic thinking abilities.
  • High level of accountability, commitment, adaptability, and ability to thrive under high pressure.
  • Customer-focused with a strong orientation towards collaboration and teamwork.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in business English, both spoken and written.
