Our client produces consumer products from agricultural resources, with a strong focus on sustainability and ethical practices.

Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with industrial needs and goals.
Identify and qualify suppliers based on capabilities, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, pricing, and performance.
Maintain strong supplier relationships and conduct regular performance evaluations.
Lead contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and legal compliance.
Collaborate with production and planning teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize carrying costs and shortages.
Identify opportunities for cost savings through strategic sourcing, volume discounts, and process improvements.
Establish and monitor supplier performance metrics (KPIs). & regularly assess supplier performance against criteria
Identify opportunities for process automation, standardization, and system integration.
Collect and analyze procurement data and key metrics to evaluate procurement performance.

Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar industrial procurement leadership role.
Deep understanding of industrial procurement processes, strategic sourcing, and supplier management.
Knowledge of industrial equipment, materials, and services procurement.
Strong negotiation, contract management, and analytical skills.
Familiarity with inventory management techniques and demand planning.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Ability to lead a team, delegate tasks, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
Ability to visit the factory in upcountry occasionally
